Due to the COVID 19 issue, the JobMarket’s “Employer of Choice” award presentation ceremony which initially planned in Dec 2019 was finally held on 26th March 2021 in face-to-face format. This ceremony combined the award presentation for both 2019 and 2020. It is so amazing that JobMarket picked a fantastic venue to host the event this time which is Applause Pavilion at Ocean Park.

On 24 March 2021, OpenCertHub co-organised a physical event-“Data Literacy: The New Essential Leadership Skill” with Kornerstone at HKPC Conference Hall. We targeted the accounting, marketing and HR professionals to participate. This on-site event was successfully held with over 100 participants to support us.

On 9 Mar 2021, OpenCertHub and OnGrad co-organised a webinar to PolyU SPEED with the topic: "DATA LITERACY - Critical Success Factor For Digital Leader". We got around a hundred registrations and most of the undergrad students are from Business & Computer Science studies.

On 15th January, Dr. Toa Charm, Chairman of OpenCertHub, was invited by PostgreSQL Conference China as the Keynote Speaker on “Democratize Data Literacy with Open-Source Technology to Everyone” during the conference.

On 8th December, Dr. Toa Charm (Chairman of OpenCertHub) and Daniel Yuen (COO of OpenCertHub) are invited by 6Biz Academy to speak in a free webinar with M.G. Ong (Chief Advisor of 6Biz Academy), sharing about why data literacy is the most wanted skill in the digital economy.

World Economic Forum (WEF) has predicted that innovative technology will destroy 85 million jobs at mid-sized to large businesses, but at the same time, it expects 97 million new jobs will be generated over the next five years. The result is a wake-up call for reskilling with data literacy to grasp the opportunity in the future.

On 19th October 2020, The University of Sunderland in Hong Kong announced its partnership with OpenCertHub to launch CDPOS™ Scholarship Program in a webinar. As Professor Yonghong Peng stated, "Every industry will be related to big data, so the demand for data talents will be climbing up in the future," it is predicted that as a result of huge demand, there is a massive shortage of data talents among the current working force.

The University of Sunderland in Hong Kong has teamed up with OpenCertHub to launch a scholarship program and the webinar -《Big Data & Data Literacy: Digital Leader - Cultivation of Data Scientist in Organisation》- will be held to introduce details of the Scholarship Program on 19th October.
